The Action at Red Leaf Park

Dear All!

So the new video, Action at Red Leaf Park, is now on youtube. And after a lot of fuss and annoyance too. My video editor exploded (there is probably a more technical name for it, but exploded explains the problem pretty well) and so I spent the whole day trying to figure out how to save the entire project I had spent the whole morning editing. NOW it is finally edited, saved and uploaded but a problem remains: the quality is horrible. Not exactly sure why. We are working on how to make the quality better so stay posted. In the meanwhile, put your strongest glasses on and try to make out what our fuzzy video is trying to convey.

I miss the days when film was cut with scissors and stuck together with tape :(

CLASSICAL FILM is BEAUTIFUL

Hello, sorry it has been such an extremely long time.

But we have finally finished the latest movie. This movie is actually (originally) made for other out-of-youtube purposes (an art class) but it still is fun to watch.
The challenge is if you can name all the movies that are present in the film. If you can then the crazy looks production team will....will give you honor and maybe a complimentary movie devoted to the winner? Or the winner gets to decide what movie we make next? Hmmm.....we'll see. But anyway: START GUESSING!

LONG TIME NO SEE

What is wrong with us? Why have we not posted any films?
Don't worry. There are a lot of new and wonderful films and songs awaiting you when the Crazy Looks crew is less busy.  If this were a large multinational corporation we would say that our homepage was undergoing construction. Let's just use that as our excuse for now.

Don't worry! We will be posting films soon!

America's Next Top Scientist

Our latest movie is FINALLY out. Sorry. But due to internet problems loading videos takes years and years. So we actually finished the video weeks ago...but what can you do....

So go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ETxtt6XJw0

This one was obviously inspired by america's next top model and follows the adventure of three youngun's that want to become top scientists. What obstacles will they face on their journey? What challenges will push them off the botanist/biochemist/zoologist race track?

Yes. It's riveting stuff.

Talking School Blues

It's here, new and improved! The "Talking School Blues" was made a long time ago...and even performed, but it wasn't until now that it went up on youtube. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhTZh7wcAhE&feature=related

The song was written...actually where the "mongolian man" was filmed, in "the lake" (see the mongolian man post to see what I mean). It was written actually for my wonderful math teacher, whom, despite all the failing grades...I love. So the theme is "the horror of school" and therefore the movie is a clip of a student hard at work....or well...at least trying to be hard at work.

This song has also been performed, and was received...rather well. Maybe a there are a little it too many words per line, and since most audiences just wanna "hang out" their "hanging out" got in the way of understanding. But no stress. Even a teacher commented on the song, and his comments weren't too bad...well my grades didn't change after the performance, let's put it that way.

here's a picture:
Okay...it may not be a gorgeous photo, but when you are singing your heart out that look-at-me-im-gorgeous effect it hard to achieve.

So what are you waiting for gowatchitnownownow!!!!!

Crazy Looks Commercial

A commercial for our wonderful production company is out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwsGXovLG98&feature=related and it is not cynical or sarcastic AT ALL. After all, who could turn this extremely well-run company into a joke?

Well...okay....maybe this commercial is more to entertain then inform. But it gives you some interesting behind the scenes clips. Including Yrsa (the actress that played the mongol) as she went rode back home the elevator after filming.

Another instant in the commercial unknown to others is the scene where me and Beata cram into a headset. This was because we couldn't find a proper way to record, and play back the original soundtrack at the same time. Its difficult to explain, but if you know how to make proper music you'd understand this problem.....or actually....maybe this problem would never exist...

Other scenes in the ad. include pulling Madonna (the dog's) ears, playing "Cookin Mama" on the computer and disscussing movie ideas with....our best teammate naked Ken.

So go and check it out!

Behind the Carpet

A spoof on the interviews that occur during the premiere of a movie.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrhWn8wZM9Q&feature=related We decided to have our own premiere and explain what ACTUALLY happened during the making of "the Mongolian man" (which can also be found on youtube)

The story follows the fictional lives of three very different and very distinct actors that partook in the making of the film. Although you might of watched the mongolian man and thought the actors were sane....the truth is far from it.

This movie was shot here, in Shanghai, in our studio. We were also given permission to many different stylists that helped cloth the actors during their strut down the carpet. No matter what you say about the movie, the premiere night was a night to remember.

So go check it out!
