Only a Mongol Can
Verse
I wanna live in a yurt,
And wear a hand woven skirt.
Where the wind whistles loudly,
As it sweeps down the hill
And hits you so softly it hurts.
I want to play the Mongolian fiddle
And answer the old sage's riddles.
Eat fresh goat cheese,
And drink archaic spirits
that make your guts tremble a little
Chorus
I want to meet a Mongolian man
Who sings to me as he holds my hands.
Songs of his forefathers,
Of the hills and the wind
That only a Mongol can.
Verse
I want to eat a Mongolian calf
As above us shooting stars soar past.
And the Mongol's speak,
In words we don't understand
And in the sky we hear mother earth laugh.
I want to hear the Mongolian hounds
As their paws softly beat 'gainst the ground.
As the clouds start to drift,
And cover the moon
So the dogs cease to make any sound.
CHORUS
I want to stare at the Mongolian moon,
Knowing the Siberian winds will come soon.
So as the days grow darker
A native takes out his flute,
And plays a melodious tune.
CHORUS (repeat three times then end)
The Talking School Blues
(Don't Ever Let Us Down)
I know that you may not like me
Because, I'm your students and I only get D's
But listen to me when I say,
That we live our lives in a totally different way.
I put my clothes on and go to school
And you expect me to know something called polynomials
And although me and addition are like this
there must be something in the textbook that I've missed
Because You open your mouth to talk
and all I can hear is blah, blah blah,
and maybe I need a hearing aid
But I don't understand a word you say
And I took an oath I'd try harder this year
But that isn't really working so far.
I'll either have to stick a needle in my eye,
Or I'll have to promise you, deep down I promise:
I will never let you down (X2)
I know it must be hard to be you
Because you tell students to do things they really don't wanna do
Like worksheets
I hate worksheets.
And I know that I am failing your class
And that is probably why you don't say hi when I walk past
But don't get me wrong I really do try, like
I studied about half an hour last night!
And maybe there's something wrong with my head.
That actually reminds me of something my doctor said,
That I should try opening up a book some time
But I thought that would be to big of a step.
I think I should just take it slow
You know, sit in your class chew gum, drink coke
But no matter how slack I seem,
Know I try, I really try...
I will never let you down (X2)
I'm pretty sure that if my english teacher heard this sentence
he'd say it was a run on sentence
And that I'm repeating myself a little too much,
but I think it's important to get across that
You think we're dumb and maybe we are
but then again it could be your fault
Because you teach in our class and think that your great
but it's just because your standing on the stage (and that makes you taller)
But I really think It's important for you
to understand that we are people too
And although we drive you insane
we really only want you to do one thing, that's:
Please Don't ever let us down (X3...)
The Bunny Song
I am a bunny
it's not very funny
my owner is your granny
because I'm I'm a bunny
I'm im a bunny
I like to eat honey
especially when it's runny
because I'm I'm a bunny
(Scream)
Bunny Bunny's gunna find you some place
he's gunna wrip the smile off your face
face face face
(Repeat the two abover verses:)
tip: scream and shout for extra effect.
